A Reflection
(Ricardo Hoffmann)

The storm out there arouses
Strange hidden nooks in the old
Dwelling houses to new breathes
In my mind rules a storm too
While I fall into whirls of
Countless anxiety

On the ground the death of the leaves
And all the leafless boughs above
The catkin’s misery chained on
The deepest coldness’ claws
And my thoughts roam through cruel
Corridors to the ruins of my soul

The whispering wind seems to
Caress my ears so tenderly
A faded fragrance comes out from the
Treasure chest of childhood dreams
Between those dangerous mouths
Of the world

An old melody sounds
In my sentimental head
A melody so sad with a
Hopeful reflection
And all the sweet melancholy
Of our human being
